About Us
Once upon a time, there was Peta, a bright-eyed wanderer eager to share her adventures with the world. She became a seasoned globetrotter with a passion for exploring every nook and cranny of this beautiful planet. Together with her colleague, Monica Godfrey (no relation) they passionately spent the 2010s helping to grow a local Gerringong travel business. When the opportunity arose in 2018 to take the reins and rebrand the company, Peta and Monica seized it with gusto, rebranding and ushering in a new era for Travel Focus Group. This exciting new venture allowed the Godfrey girls a chance to further share their love and knowledge of all things travel with the community.
Lauren Murphy

Lauren started her travel industry career in 2012. In this time she has experienced many adventures including small ship expeditions in the Arctic, safaris in South Africa, river cruising in France and extensive travel throughout Europe. Lauren has gained her expertise working for a cruise line and a Greece & Mediterranean wholesaler. She specialises in creating unforgettable experiences through out all these destinations and beyond.
Top on her bucket list is a journey to see the Gorillas in Rwanda.

Fiji holds a special place in Merilyn's heart, where she's earned accreditation as a Fiji Matai special agent. Having visited Fiji over 35 times with both family and friends, she's deeply enamoured with its people, culture, diving, and laid-back vibe. Merilyn has also explored the waterways of the Mekong and Irrawaddy through cruising and has embarked on seven different European river cruises , small Yacht cruises & luxury cruises on Seaborn & Silversea.

Having previously been a co-owner at Travel Focus Group, Monica maintains a strong passion for both the industry and the company, which means she continues to be partly involved. She knows that the team not only possesses extensive product and destination knowledge but also cares deeply about its clients and providing them the best travel experiences. Regarding her own career goals, Monica's commitment to the travel industry was clear even in her high school yearbook quote, where she stated her sole desire to work in this field. With visits to over 40 countries, Monica’s list of countries yet to explore is still longer than those visited.
